Breaking generational curses through prayer!

Numbers 14:18 states the following:

"The LORD is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation."

Many Christians are operating under generational curses because of unaddressed sins that have come through ancestral lines. The Scripture is clear that the sins of the fathers and forefathers will be visited on successive generations. Some of the recurrent problems we face are due to unbroken curses.

Repetitive problems in a family such as divorce, financial struggles, health issues and mental illness are indicators that a curse is in operation that needs to be broken through repentance and renouncing of the  sins committed by fathers and forefathers. While we may not be aware of all the sins committed by our ancestors we can glean some insight just by looking at the problems that plague our family line.

Deuteronomy 28 list 14 blessings and 54 curses. We would recommend reading through this chapter as it will give you an idea of the various punishments that come upon a family because of disobedience to the Word of the Lord. If you see any of these curses operating in your family line it means that a prayer of repentance needs to be made to the Lord to break the curses.

We have attached as downloadable documents several prayers that are helpful in breaking generational curses and bringing deliverance.  Prayers that come against the curses of abuse,/ violence poverty, sexual perversion, sorcery/ witchcraft and spiritual delta are all listed below.

You will note that each prayer begins by asking the Lord to take us back to the womb to break the curses. This is done because the womb is our place of origin in the earth realm and is the place where we were infused with generational curses from our parents. It is in the place of the womb that we will destroy the generational curses that have infected our bloodline, threatening our lives and that of our future generations.

We recommend that when praying these prayers you partner with a mature Christian and one who has an understanding of deliverance ministry. Often times generational demons begin to manifest as their stronghold is broken through repentance and renouncing of sin.

Our desire is that the Lord Jesus will set you free from generational oppression as you confess, renounce and seek His forgiveness of ancestral sin.
